MISSION STATEMENT: Welcome Home Vets! Project

Across our beautiful country, there are determined, generous people and groups dedicated to doing their part to help find or create housing for our disabled and/or homeless veterans.

Our mission and commitment here at “Welcome Home Vets! Project” is to provide a warm, personal message of "Welcome Home!" to each of the vets chosen to participate in a variety of these housing projects. We want to wrap each of them in a new, handcrafted afghan.

Primarily, we need volunteers to make crocheted, knitted, or quilted afghans. Please only send us newly made afghans for our veterans.

We also need donation dollars to help make this happen. As each veteran is chosen for housing, we need the funds to ship an afghan to that person. Also, if our volunteer crafters aren't able to keep up with the demand, we may also need to be able to buy handcrafted afghans online, like from Etsy, etc.
